The Western PA Humane society is a wonderful place to get a pet if you are thinking of an addition to your family. They have rabbits, dogs, and cats available for adoption every day of the week.
The Western PA Humane Society is a shelter for displaced animals. There are many reasons animals end up in the shelter like stray, elderly can’t take care of them, owner died, owner is moving to an apartment and they can’t have an animal in the apartment, or maybe their owner just cannot give the animal the attention it needs. Whichever reason, the shelter is sure to have your next best friend there waiting for you. There are two branches of the Western PA Humane Society, North Side and Fallen Timber.
The Western PA Humane Society wants to make sure they are placing an animal in a home that it will be cared and nurtured for properly. They practice educating owners on useful information they might need to know later about their pet like the flu and dogs, how to house train your animal, and separation anxiety with your animal when you are at work. The Western PA Humane Society is not just a humane society. They provide an animal clinic to make sure your new pet is healthy and ready to go to its new home. The clinic provides vaccinations that are low cost and reasonable prices for spaying and neutering for the animals. The clinic also offers the spaying and neutering for free for those people that cannot afford to have it done, but they are sure will give a fantastic home to the animal.
The Western PA Humane Society also operates the Louise Shaw Dill Memorial pet cemetery where people can have their pets buried. All monies given go to the shelter to take care of the animals.
The Western PA Humane Society is purely a non-profit organization and receives no financial help from any state or government agencies. They rely solely on donations from the public sector to assist them in taking care of the animals. Anyone can donate to the shelter. All fees for adopting the animals go back into providing the best possible care for the animals.
The Western PA Humane Society is a wonderful place to adopt your next best friend and addition to the family. Check them out online or at either of their two sites, Fallen Timber or North Side.
